Eveline Vanthorre focuses on the family estate, corporate and tax aspects of (inter)national estate and inheritance planning.
Eveline started her law studies at KU Leuven, Campus Kortrijk (KULAK) and continued her studies in Leuven (Master in Law KU Leuven, 2014).
From 2014 to 2019, Eveline worked as a full-time researcher and assistant at the Economic Law Research Unit (Institute for Consumer, Competition & Market, KU Leuven, Brussels Campus). For her research on the intergenerational transfer of family firms, Eveline was awarded a grant from the Fonds Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek (FWO - Flanders) in 2016. She was a visiting researcher at Leiden University (October 2017) and l'Université de Strasbourg (September 2018). As a teaching assistant, Eveline gave monitorates and working lectures to undergraduate students and supervised master's theses within corporate and business law.
Eveline is associated with the Dutch Bar Association at the Brussels Bar. She has been a lawyer at Cazimir since January 2020.
She is Dutch-speaking, but also speaks English and French.
Eveline advises clients on their estate and succession planning and assists families in transferring their businesses to the next generation.
She gives academic and professional lectures on (family) estate planning. She is also the author of several contributions in legal journals and books.
Eveline enjoys spending time with family and friends. During the weekend you will often find her on her (racing) bike on one of Flanders' beautiful cycling routes.
