Elisabeth is a civil lawyer and focuses on (inter)national estate planning, family property law and civil litigations.
Elisabeth obtained a Master in Notarial Law (2017) and Master in Law (2016) degree from Ghent University, both with high distinction.
As a lawyer, she is associated with the Brussels Bar. She has been a member of the Cazimir team since 2017.
In addition, Elisabeth was a practice assistant at Ghent University in the matter of inheritance tax, registration tax and estate planning from 2020 to 2024.
Elisabeth focuses on family estate law. She assists clients with their estate planning and pays close attention to their individual wishes and concerns. She focuses in particular on estate planning with life insurance policies.
Elisabeth also focuses within the Cazimir team on estate planning procedures, more particularly on liquidation and distribution of matrimonial property and estates. She always has an eye for finding amicable solutions.
Besides handling various legal files, Elisabeth enjoys writing. Writing legal articles is an interesting and varied way for her to further specialize in the field of family property law.
Elisabeth won the 2021 TFR Prize, along with Rinse Elsermans, for the annotation βTHE TEMPORAL OPERATION OF A STRENGTHENED FICTION: LAW CHOOSES FOR LEGAL SAFETY AND CONFIRMS DATE OF LEGAL ACTION AS RELEVANT ADVANTAGE.β (Read here)

Elisabeth is a big animal lover. She spends her free time mainly with her dog and horse. Elisabeth can also enjoy a cozy time with her husband, infant son, family and friends.
